I am "the nurse"

Tonight I was pinned, welcomed into the profession as an equal as a nurse. In the weeks to come I will take the NCLEX which is the National Licensure exam to become a Registered nurse. Though the studying is not over quite yet I'm so close that this will happen for sure.

I have overcome huge obstacles to become a nurse. I tried this program 11 years ago and didn't finish. I had to work full time than and had a wife who unfortunately didn't share my dream so I ended up quiting trying to save my marriage and my sanity. I returned to school after divorcing got accepted again in school only to have my now ex wife take me to court for child support. She won and I struggled. I didn't give up on my dream though and continued on. During that time I lost a relationship to a woman who I loved probably more than she realized and ultimately moved back into my mom's house to finish. But, I got it done. I am "the nurse". In the weeks to come I'll be the RN and soon the time and effort I've put forth will be rewarded.
